RSV Vaccination

RESPIRATORY SYNCYTIAL VIRUS VACCINATION (RSV)

If you are aged 75 – 79 years old on the 1^st September 2024 or turn 75 on or after the 1^st September 2024 you are eligible to have an RSV vaccination.

RSV is an infectious disease of the airways and lungs and often causes symptoms like a cold.

It can make you become wheezy or short of breath and lead to pneumonia and other life-threatening conditions.

We are holding a clinic for this soon – please contact the surgery if you are eligible and have not yet booked.

Surgery Closure

Tuesday 26^th November

Chacewater & Devoran Surgeries will be closed for the afternoon of Tuesday 26^th November for Staff Training.

As a practice we have found great benefit from our previous closures and are aiming to hold these training afternoons on a quarterly basis where possible.

This protected time for our teams has given us the opportunity to review standard procedures and keep up to date with necessary training.

The Cornwall Integrated Care Board has given us approval to close our surgeries to all non-urgent work for the afternoon of Tuesday 26^th November to enable us the time to do this.

Devoran Surgery will be closed from 1pm and Chacewater surgery will be available for urgent matters only. If your issue cannot wait until the next day, please contact us by telephone in the first instance so that we can help support you.

Managed repeat prescriptions that are due to be collected on Tuesday 26^th November will be available to collect from Monday 25^th November and in the morning of Tuesday 26^th November prior to us closing.

Your support would be appreciated in enabling us to provide this much needed time and provision to our staff.
